>You confuse the issue by asking about "an XPATH" - if you use the wrong >terminology, you are likely to get the wrong answers. Aren't predicates XPATH expressions? The spec is vague, in that some of the same examples are listed under both specs. If we're splitting hairs here no big deal, if this is an important distinction, I'm interested to hear more.
