Subject: Preventing indents/new lines in XSL file from appearing in output file. From: "Deirdre O'Brien" <ddo@xxxxxxx> Date: Wed, 23 Aug 2000 14:57:15 +0100 |
Hello Everybody, I am converting an XML document to text using the xalan processor. A sample of my code includes, <xsl:output method="text" indent="no" omit-xml-declaration="yes"> <xsl:template match="text()"/> <xsl:template match="HEADER"> idr=<xsl:value-of select="ID"/>| buyer=<xsl:value-of select="BID"/>| </xsl:template> I would like to be able to write it like, <xsl:template match="HEADER"> idr=<xsl:value-of select="ID"/>| buyer=<xsl:value-of select="BID"/>| </xsl:template> When I indent the lines under the <xsl:template> tag, the indents also appear in the output file. Is there anyway I can indent my XSL file to make it more readable but not have the indents appear on the output? I have tried using <xsl:ouput method="text" indent="no"/> to no effect. Thanks a million, Deirdre XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
