To further clarify the problem, whenever I load the XML file direclty from the hard drive using c:\xml\file.xml the document function works fine but if I request the xml file using the webserver i.e http://myserver/xml/file.xml I get this error: "The data necessary to complete this operation is not yet available" BTW what is the email of MSXML bug list.
