Subject: Even number of pages in a simple-page-sequence? From: Richard Light <richard@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Mon, 5 Jan 1998 15:41:08 +0000 |
I've been asked to ensure that each chapter in an output document starts on an odd-numbered page, i.e. that the preceding chapter (which is a simple-page-sequence) is 'padded out' with an extra page if it contains an odd number of pages. My understanding is that this is impossible with DSSSL, since the DSSSL engine has no means of knowing what the pagination of the resulting document is going to be. Is this right? Page-sequence has what I need (the force-last-page characteristic), but we don't have support for that in Jade as yet ... If, as I fear, this is right, is there a work-around for Jade in the case where output is to the RTF backend? Richard Light.
